| i'm a genius. so i've been working on my job application documents, and i made my first submission today, and it's a job that i'm really interested in. the cover letter was fantastic. only thing is i sent in the wrong target resume!! all the hours of writing, editing, and mentioning how i pay "careful attention to detail" seem laughable! gmail doesn't have an unsend function, so i started to wonder whether i should resend another resume, but that's like highlighting the huge mistake i already made, and that would also make them wonder. so i was in limbo. i asked the few people still online that late at night, and they all said the same thing. "let it ride," or something to that effect. it's in God's hands.

| this morning at the memorial, i was looking for a place to sit down to pray, and i found a small dry spot on this one slab of stone (the huge steps leading up to the memorial hall). after praying, i noticed that not only were the other slabs still wet, mine was almost dry from end to end (they are long steps!), so what i concluded was this... Connie, my butt is hot!
and later i saw this old man run down the steps exercising, and then he started doing this cheesy, i mean, utterly dorky movement, like rotating his knees or something, but he looked so sincere about it that it came off as heartbreakingly cute.
and lastly, i had these thoughts about a life full of simplicities and my fascination with it the other day, but xanga wouldn't load, so i've forgotten. um.. that's it.
take care everyone! | | |
| God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. That your way may be known upon earth, your saving health among all nations. Let the people praise you, O God; let all the people praise you. O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for you shall judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah Let the people praise you, O God; let all the people praise you. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. | | |
| Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners shall be converted to You. For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart; These, O God, You will not despise. (Psalm 51:1-13, 16-17) - NKJV | | |
| praise the LORD, for i am blessed to be able to pursue a vision and a dream that are wrapped with my interest for music, poetry, and art. there are many changes that are hard to cope with in life, and God has shown me that in order to survive storms, we must be willing to cease strifing (Psalm 46:10), and to know all the wonderful things about the LORD. whether they are actual wars, wars in our minds, or wars in our hearts, God shows us the path to victory, which is through letting God reveal Himself through and through in our mind and in our heart.
revelations about the LORD should not be a burden or a struggle or something causing friction for the believer (or an act to act upon), but even when we are healthily consumed in them, they should be seen as, chosen, accepted, and lived by what they are: steady and balanced grace that gives us hope, pure knowledge that renews our mind to transform every bone in our body and every act we commit, and most importantly a revealing portrait of the joy of the LORD, a complete and utter satisfaction that doesn't wash away in the rain and doesn't sink into the sand, but a rock that has its foundations laid upon eternity and can't be changed. as God is God, we partake of the joy from knowing that He Is That He Is, existing eternally with holiness and transcedence--He is the subject of the lives of every living and created thing; nothing is God but God Himself, and so the angels cry unto one another "Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory." (Isaiah 6:3). | | |
